Donations continue to come in daily and we will be taking inventory soon. But we are quickly running out of space in my garage. We are In search of (ISO) anyone or business that has space where we can store decorations for deployment next season. If you have any space or have an idea for me, please let me know!
Donations roll in daily. We are building. There response has overwhelmed me. And I know we have just scratched the surface. Matthew 5:14-15 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house." Nearly everyone I know has unused Christmas decorations "under the bowl". Put them on a stand!
Another 1000 lights donated today and things are moving on a possible new branch of the LW Brigade in Melbourne Florida. Things are moving fast up there and it could be powerful. Will know more next week.
I would love to do this with you and I could use some help as we grow. Looking for....
- Outreach Volunteers (its easy and fun, just get the word out. I will help you)
- Donation Operations (help me assess, inventory, and store donations)
- Leaders (as we grow and go 501(c)3, looking for leaders to guide me and the Brigade, up to Board member level
If you are interested, please contact me.
Donations continue to come in. My garage is filling up. Will do inventory and testing soon. Keep the donations coming. I Have another garage lol.
Looking for more Team Members, a variety of rolls, all easy. Please join (got to Contact page and message me).
Thanks to all.
This is what I woke up to this morning when I threw open the curtains. The Light through the glass of a condensation-laden window. Let it shine! Got a call from a potentially large donor today. Pray it comes through. We are building!
Welcoming two new team members, Tyler Gregory who will assist in web page and related IT stuff, and Felicia who will join our deployment team in Christmas 2018 to light up people and places. I could always use more help. If you would like volunteer, please contact me (Contact page).
On the grace of good friends (the Young Family and particularly Haley), we have received another 1000 lights, and a generous donation from Dan Deans we were able to purchase another 1000 lights. Now is a time for more outreach. As people take down their decorations lets give them the option of donating to our Ministry! Reach out broad and wide, let people know about us. If you have ideas for broadly reaching out, let me know. If you need help, let me know as well.
The night before Christmas is the night before the birth of Jesus Christ. Least we not forget the true meaning of Christmas. To help us reflect and understanding this meaning, I have written a poem, a variation of the famous "Twas the Night Before Christmas" poem. I have posted it on the About page. Feel free to read and share!
A brochure is available for download and print. Use the brochure to get the word out that donated decorations are needed. Perhaps distribute to mailboxes in your community. To download the brochure, go to Donations & Volunteering and click on the tri-fold brochure file.
My parents always lit up our home at Christmas. The warmth, glow, happiness, and hope it gave me still lives in me. My hope for the LW Brigade is that we can do the same for others.
