The all-volunteer group “Light of the World Brigade”, a South Florida non-profit community service organization, is hard at work preparing for the 2019 Christmas season. Unlike any other holiday, Christmas has the ability to universally bring joy, love, peace, and hope to a weary world. The Light of the World Brigade uses the season as a catalyst, bringing the renewal of hope, grace, and love for those facing hard times. In the words of the Brigade founder, Mike Fatig, “We are in the joy business, bringing Christmas trees, decorations, and love to those for whom the season would otherwise be dark.”
The Brigade has received numerous donations from families and businesses in the South Florida community. Featured on WPBF last year by Meteorologist Sandra Shaw, we have graciously received support from the media which has helped us get our message out and garner more support. We invite additional media to learn about us and be a part of our joy business. We would be happy to schedule an event that meets your needs.
My parents always lit up our home at Christmas. The warmth, glow, happiness, and hope it gave me still lives in me. My hope for the LW Brigade is that we can do the same for others.
